Hello, THE RIDE here, encouraging you to stop and smell the roses… at Macy’s Flower Show. For the two weeks from March 20 to April 3, the main level of this iconic New York Citydepartment store, as well as the plaza outside on Broadway, will be decorated with bright floral arrangements with the theme “America the Beautiful.” Enjoy stunning displays of flora from regions all across the country, plus live music and other special events and activities.
Here’s the best part: Macy’s is just a hop, skip and a jump from the embarkation point for the best sightseeing bus rides the city has to offer. So once you’ve smelled all the roses your nose can handle, head uptown to 42nd Street to meet THE RIDE (that’s me) and settle in for an entertaining jaunt around the Big Apple.
Together, the Flower Show and THE RIDE provide the yin and yang of sightseeing. Don’t believe me? Consider this: Macy’s Flower Show may be celebrating America’s purple mountain majesties, but my luxurious motor-coach tour provides glimpses of impressive high points, too, like the peaks of the Empire State and the Chrysler buildings. And while you can see plants from the nation’s wilderness at Macy’s, I’ve got views of all the neon wildness Times Square has to offer. See what I mean? Perfect complements!
