Hello, it’s THE RIDE here, feeling a little star struck as I think about all the celebrities who have enjoyed some New York City sightseeing with me. What’s it like to hob-nob with folks we all see regularly on TV? It’s great, just as you would expect! But as much as I like hanging out with folks who show up regularly on Page Six and in People magazine, I’m even more enamored of the kind words they’ve said about me!
For example, when Josh Groban was singing my praises to Kelly Ripa, he went on and on about how the excitement and the entertainment of THE RIDE ended up living up to all his “wildest expectations,” with some especially nice words regarding the talent of the performers and the reaction of the NYC crowd. (Side note: check out the clip of Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford interacting with some of my enthusiastic RIDE-ers.)
Anderson Cooper admits he always wondered what it would be like to climb aboard THE RIDE—and so his staff arranged a field trip, which he described as a “treat” (despite having a little trepidation about all the singing and dancing—in public—that this particular tour bus might involve).
Sara Haines had no such fears. She happily described her experience as “part flash mob and part theater-on-wheels… where passengers enjoy an interactive experience while touring the streets of Manhattan.” She even stepped into the role of tour host for a bit—with aplomb, I might add!
But how did I know I really made it in New York, becoming “king of the hill,” “top of the heap” “A number 1” and all that (just like the song says)? When I found out that I’ve been parodied on The Simpsons! And so now, you, my friend, can feel like a top celeb (but no need to feel star struck) when you ride along with ME!
