THE RIDE OFFERING MILITARY DISCOUNTS
Air Force Week New York City returns August 19-21 with events that will allow New Yorkers to meet Airmen serving in the U.S. Air Force. There are more than 32,000 New York natives serving in the Air Force today with 1,500 of them serving overseas. Air Force Week New York City is a chance to Honor Hometown Heroes from all over the United States.
NEW YORK CITY HONORS OUR MILITARY AIRMEN
Air Force Week offers something for everyone at hot spots all over the city, all free of charge and open to the public.
Interactive Air Force displays will be set up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Piers 84 and 86 near the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan.
The displays will include:
- Static aircraft
- Military working dog demonstrations
- The Air Force Academy Falconer
- Science and technology displays
- Various Air Force bands performing throughout the celebration
- Air Force Project Supercars
- the X-1 Mustang
- Vapor Challenger
New Yorkers will have the chance to meet and talk to a wide variety of Airmen, including astronauts, pilots, space and cyber specialists, combat controllers, security forces, and medics.
