AND New Ticket Prices
New York, NY (January, 2017) – In a landmark decision, CEO/CCO Richard Humphrey and President Dan Rogoski have decided to dramatically lower the retail ticket prices of the internationally-acclaimed THE RIDE and THE TOUR powered by the Ride.
Established on October 15, 2010 and re-launched on April 15, 2014, THE RIDE is currently celebrating its 7th Season of unbridled success and unqualified rave reviews while THE TOUR is steadily establishing itself as the most sought-after Tour Attraction in this its 3rd blockbuster Season.
THE RIDE, Broadway’s favorite traveling theatre, has replaced its $74 ticket with a very popular $55 ticket.
THE TOUR, America’s first-choice touring attraction, has lowered its ticket prices to $35.
The highly anticipated DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE Powered by The Ride, currently preparing for its World Premiere on Monday, March 30 when it will be the first Tour Bus in history to incorporate VIRTUAL REALITY in its scripted immersive initiative, will offer tickets for only $49.
This unprecedented decision by Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Rogoski is based on the logically simple equation that lowering ticket prices to an established and wildly popular product while vigorously adding performances to the playing schedule will open up the opportunity of both THE RIDE and THE TOUR to hundreds and thousands of families who were previously unable to take advantage of the excitement.
Mr. Humphrey and Mr. Rogoski, in a single stroke of genius, have created the NEXT GENERATION, if you will, of RIDERS while THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE will magically reinvent the margins of live entertainment.
As THE RIDE prepares for its 12,000th Rider and THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE prepares for its World Premiere, THE RIDE’S Box Office Staff is preparing for the onslaught.
Richard Humphrey and Dan Rogoski constantly push the envelope.
And, as always, everyone benefits.

About THE RIDE
Just awarded its SIXTH TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Award and the 2015 RTO Summit’s COOLEST NEW PRODUCT, THE RIDE has also been inducted into THE TripAdvisor® HALL of FAME; an accolade reserved for less than 1% of the worldwide Travel-Related Corporations reviewed by TripAdvisor’s® 60 million members and 140 million visitors. Also honored with a nomination for Broadway’s coveted Drama Desk Award in the prestigious Unique Theatrical Experience Category and named the Third Most Successful Youth-Primed Attraction in New York City by FODOR’S Travel, THE RIDE has most recently been nominated for THE CONCIERGE CHOICE Award in the BEST TOURIST ATTRACTION category. THE RIDE has also been declared one of the Top 8 Must-Attend Wild & Wonderful Spectacles in New York City by NewYork.com who also named THE RIDE’S Gold Star Tour Guide, RORY LIPEDE, as the Most Entertaining Tour Guide in New York. The New York City phenomenon began 2016 by winning The Culture Trip’s Favorite Award as the Must-Take NYC Tour and being named “the most exciting entertainment experience to ever hit New York City” by VIATOR. All of this homage and accompanying critical acclaim has led to THE RIDE becoming the singularly most requested ticket at Travel Agents’ offices all over the country. The concept is a brainstorm of design that has resulted in a fleet of multi-million dollar motor coaches whose interiors are a state-of-the-art wonderland of electronic wizardry that guide 49 dazzled tourists around the most fascinating city in the world. THE RIDE’S original genius was its realization that the streets of Manhattan are a fifty-mile stage exhibiting the most riveting visuals on earth. Adding its own actors to the crowded mix on the street, the huge motor coaches deliver a show worthy of the standing ovations and group euphoria that results at the end of each RIDE. The motor coaches are events in their own right. They are specifically designed theatrical vehicles; the tallest allowed by federal law, fitted with stadium-style seating that orients the 49 fortunate participants sideways so as to look through the massive windows that deliver New York as the most successful Broadway show on earth. These unanimously acclaimed coaches are equipped with surround sound, 3,000 LED lights and 40 video screens. They are, in essence, rolling state-of-the-art theatres that introduce their travelling audiences to an interactive experience that only the most interactive city in the western hemisphere could deliver. Each motor coach’s external speakers and lighting allow riders and on-board performers to interact with THE RIDE’S street performers as well as anyone else they pass on the street. THE RIDE is an EVENT whether you are on the bus or on the street. But it’s better on the bus. A fact mightily agreed upon by both Broadway critics and audiences alike.

About THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE Powered by The Ride
The Award-Winning Times’ Square attraction juggernaut, THE RIDE, has chosen TimeLooper, a global Virtual Reality platform, to create unforgettable VR moments in New York’s history to be scripted into its new timeless production, THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE, Powered by THE RIDE. While continuing to scout and negotiate with City Councils and Zoning Boards in Boston, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, London, Paris, San Francisco and Tokyo, CEO/CCO Richard Humphrey and President Dan Rogoski have chosen historic Downtown Manhattan for the next revolutionary version of the Internationally acclaimed phenomenon. THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE, Powered by THE RIDE will present the world-changing iconic events of a neighborhood that gifted FREEDOM to every other country on Earth. From the minute President George Washington was sworn in on the second balcony of Federal Hall at 29 Wall Street on April 30, 1789 the new Americans went to work. They laid out the streets, built bridges, libraries, universities, ships, railroads, tunnels, hospitals, theatres, museums, churches, town houses, meeting halls and commercial concourses, survived fires, riots, epidemics and the weather, created Wall Street, organized unions, published newspapers, developed public education, public transportation and public housing. And all of this under the welcoming torch held high by the Statue of Liberty as she introduced millions and millions of people to Downtown Manhattan where the word FREEDOM was spoken in over forty languages. Downtown Manhattan is still the center of all that is possible. It is now the stage for THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE Powered by The Ride.

THE REVIEWS
FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS.
“Fasten your seat belts and embrace the city. This is a shared experience and something to be talked about. The tour takes on a cinematic aura. This is, after all, how movies and Broadway shows work. While walking down a street, someone breaks into song and dance, just as strollers do here. On THE RIDE you watch the passersby look in pleasure at the theatrical indulgence of the performers on the sidewalk; you almost expect them to join in. Quite a few conversations started on the sidewalk as the bus rocked by. The street is quite a RIDE. All tour buses should be built this way.”
-New York Times
DELIGHTFUL . LIKE WATCHING A MOVIE.
“There’s a show on every corner in New York and that fact has been woven ingeniously into THE RIDE, a new sightseeing bus tour proudly wheeling around Manhattan. THE RIDE rolls on vehicles pimped-out in razzle-dazzle. What makes THE RIDE so unique are its street performers positioned strategically along the bus route who get in on all the action. Their moments are charming and delightful. Even if you know the city, you haven’t seen it from this panoramic view. It’s like watching a movie unfold live. THE RIDE lets you see the city with fresh eyes.”
-Joe Dziemianowicz, NY Daily News
A ROCK STAR SIGHTSEEING BUS ON STEROIDS.
“Listen my children and you shall hear of the midnight ride – not of Paul Revere – but of the new bus THE RIDE. Three new, custom-built, amped-up, rock-star-sized buses, the tallest allowed by federal law, with three rows of stadium seating facing massive windows. Each costs $1.25 million with an IMAX Theater’s worth of equipment — 3,000 LED lights, 40 video monitors emulating even subway sounds. With New York City as a stage, THE RIDE is a sightseeing bus on steroids.”
-Cindy Adams, New York Post
CHRISTMAS MAGIC. FAMILY FUN.
“If it’s family fun you’re looking for, the Holiday EVENT you want to check out is the HOLIDAY version of THE RIDE which combines sight-seeing, entertainment and Christmas magic. It is New York’s finest Holiday EVENT that will make your November and December all the more merry. THE RIDE Holiday Edition is this Editor’s Pick. ”

IT ROCKS. IT ROLLS. SURPRISES AT EVERY CORNER.
“THE RIDE is a $1.3 million tour bus tricked out with 40 video screens, 49 stadium-style seats and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. It’s 75-minute, 4-mile tour through Manhattan is an entertainment experience, a theatre on wheels with huge theme-park ride elements. Riders never know what is coming next. It rocks. It rolls. THE RIDE offers surprises around every corner.”
-Kitty Bean Yancey, USA TODAY
A TRIP EVEN NEW YORKERS ENJOY.
“Next time your folks come for a visit you don’t have to worry about playing Guide. Put them on THE RIDE, the new, interactive tour featuring singers, dancers and actors – a trip even jaded New Yorkers will enjoy. The New York Post went for a private spin in the bus. This is THE RIDE’S New York.”

THE TOP 5 NEW YORK ACTIVITIES FOR TEENS
“Traveling with hard-to-please teens can be trying, even when aided by the bright lights and WOW-FACTOR sights of a big city like New York. While the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and American Museum of Natural History are not-to-be-missed staples for first-time visitors, there are some teen-primed attractions that are worth exploring if you dig a little deeper. We’ve rounded up five TEEN-TESTED-AND-APPROVED attractions to keep everyone happy and occupied on your next family trip to New York City. Part tour bus, part theatrical production, THE RIDE, is a concept all its own. Pile in for this 75-minute interactive show ($64–$74 per ticket) on wheels that pairs an animated duo of bantering on-board HOSTS (Stand-Up and Improvisational Comedy PROS) with a slate of scripted performances that unfold on the city streets. THE RIDE, a moving theater of sorts, showcases a cast of featured street performers, including a tap-dancer, free-styling rapper, ballerina, and more— along with the never-ending stream of New Yorkers who unwittingly become part of the entertainment. Take in key sights and hear funny commentary on Midtown mainstays like Central Park, Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, the Chrysler Building, and Times Square. The technologically tricked-out multi-million dollar motor coach features stadium-style seating for up to 49 patrons, plenty of audio-visual flair (including 40 plasma screens), floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and even a high-tech hydraulics system for guests to experience a simulated ride along a stretch of NYC subway.”
-Elissa Garay, FODOR’S Travel
THE RIDE IS SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE
“THE RIDE is a spectacular immersive and interactive entertainment experience that moves you through midtown as an ever-changing show featuring actors, performers, and citizens unfolds before you. Each vehicle features over 3,000 LED lights, 40 video screens, an IMAX Theater’s worth of audio equipment, cutting-edge speakers and “floor-shaker” sound system technology that emulates everything from passing subways to a thumping nightclub.”
-Promenade Magazine
MAGICAL. WONDERFUL. BEAUTIFUL. HIGHLY ENTERTAINING. UNIQUELY THEATRICAL.
“You might be a tourist when you board THE RIDE, but you will come off a New Yorker. Just ask Josh Groban. He had such a good time he told the world about it on ‘Regis and Kelly.’ I saw Josh a week later when he was still gushing about his experience. Part 3D tour bus, part game show and part live entertainment with a cast and crew of street performers and tour guides, THE RIDE is a highly entertaining and unique theatrical glimpse of the Big Apple. Boasting 49 seats that face huge windows that stretch the length of the bus, it is like being part of a gigantic fish bowl. The best part of THE RIDE is that everyone is in the show; inside and outside the bus. The most magical part of THE RIDE is at Columbus Circle where a ballet dancer, who is completely lit up with twinkling lights, dances with a man wearing a backpack. They are wonderful and it is beautiful. Landing after 70 wonderful minutes and 4.2 miles, you feel as if you have seen it all.”
-Suzanna Bowling, Times Square Chronicles
TAKE THE RIDE.
“Let’s start from the fact that THE RIDE operates with a sense of humor. And to recalibrate myself to a different kind of live entertainment, I bought a seat. While regional theatres, operas and orchestras collapse, I’ll take THE RIDE.”
-Pia Catton, Wall Street Journal
A STANDOUT. A THEATRICAL EVENT.
“The tourism business in New York is worth more than $30 billion. And among all of the tourism businesses here THE RIDE stands out. The business potential for this roving theatrical event is clear with Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans, Boston, Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing in the expansion plans.”
-Portfolio Magazine
THE MOST SUCCESSFUL BROADWAY SHOW ON EARTH.
“THE RIDE,” on four motor coaches, has played months of sold-out, multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art tours of the Midtown Area and more than 70,000 customers have enjoyed the 4.2-mile journey that has been termed ‘a Passport to New York City.’ The buses are specifically designed theatrical vehicles; the tallest allowed by federal law, fitted with stadium-style seating that orients the 49 participants sideways looking through the massive windows that deliver New York as the most successful Broadway show on earth. THE RIDE is an enormous amount of fun for groups of friends or families in between shows or shopping. It provides a unique vantage point of New York City.”
-Lauren Yarger, Publishers Weekly
TRUE MAGIC
“THE RIDE changes throughout the year based on the season. They have a spectacular ICONIC HOLIDAY TOUR. These motor coaches, made by Prevost, the Cadillac of custom designed busses in the world, allow you to experience Holiday New York in an entirely new way. Regardless of how many times you have been to New York City and seen the sights and the Holiday lights, you have never seen them in a format as entertaining and charming as THE RIDE. It may sound corny to you reading this, but for me and the 48 other passengers – it was true magic.”
-Josh Young, Theme Park
A LOVE LETTER TO NEW YORKERS & TOURISTS.
“THE RIDE is a new ‘bus theatre’ that provides insight into the city’s most famous landmarks that playfully blurs the line between reality and fiction. It is a love letter to New Yorkers and tourists. The interactive, 75-minute adventure incorporates 40 video monitors on the bus and 15 street actor/dancers along its 4.2 mile route. Each RIDE provides a personalized experience for its passengers. People walk away with an experience they have never had before that offers them an opportunity ‘to be a part of it’ in the heart of ‘the city that doesn’t sleep.’”
-Meredith Galante, The Star-Ledger
HOT. HOT. HOT.
“THE RIDE is HOT HOT HOT. Amazingly every time I RIDE I always learn something new about New York. The ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from my visiting Nigerian journalist were worth it all.”
-Vinette Pryce, WBAI-FM / NY Beacon / Caribbean Life
ENERGETIC & ENHANCED REALITY. IT’S LIKE LOOKING AT A GIANT MOVIE SCREEN OF NYC. AT THE END OF THE RIDE I FELT LIKE I’D BEEN TO A SHOW. MY FAVORITE FEELING IN THE WORLD.
“THE RIDE is a like a huge IMAX screen looking out on New York City. It’s like being inside a virtual reality version of midtown Manhattan. Let’s call it an energetic and enhanced reality where instead of being observers, the RIDERS become part of the city experience where everything is rotated 90 degrees, so instead of turning your head to look at the window, the city is spread out panoramically in front of you. It’s like looking at a movie screen, except it’s actually a glass pane with the real city as the show. Other busses have tour-guides; THE RIDE has Hosts. Ours were Scott and Jackie; visible and interactive standing against the glass, facing the audience, telling stories about the sights and encouraging us to participate. Did I mention that THE RIDE (the actual vehicle) has a personality and a voice? And it’s not just about the sights and what goes on inside the bus itself. There are actually singers, dancers, comedians, rappers and street musicians that pop up — outside — at every turn! At first blending in with the crowds, they “TURN ON” when the bus comes into view, like miniature flash-mobs designed just for THE RIDE. Everyone has a front-row seat for the delivery-guy-turned-break-dancer, the freestyle beat-boxer, the prima ballerina, and the guy who says he is camping out, already claiming a spot in Times Square for New Years Eve. Not only do these folks address the audience inside the bus, they actually use information gathered in the aforementioned in-bus-banter to personalize their performances. The performances were my favorite part about THE RIDE. And not just because they popped up by surprise, and not just because these folks were talented. The most entertaining element of all was the panoramic view of the tourists and New Yorkers caught unaware by what was going on in the street around them. Can you imagine walking down Fifth Avenue and suddenly having the businesswoman next to you start belting lyrics from 42nd Street? And at the end of 90 minutes, I didn’t just feel like I’d been on a tour; I felt like I’d been to a show. And we all know that is my favorite feeling in the world.”
–Broadway Girl NYC, BroadwayWorld.com
THE FUN IS CONTAGIOUS. THE ENERGY OVERFLOWS.
“One of the most fascinating aspects of THE RIDE is how everyone becomes a performer in the experience, both inside and outside the bus. Written and directed by Richard Humphrey, THE RIDE is a piece of careful choreography that takes the city streets as its stage. The fun is contagious. The energy and enthusiasm overflows. This is a phenomenon that could happen only in New York.
