ABOUT THE RIDE
The Times Square phenomenon is preparing for its 10,000th RIDER while taking reservations from all over the world, hosting Corporate Events for New York’s most influential conglomerates, designing Bachelorette Parties for hundreds of brides and occasionally starring in a Hollywood movie.
A brainstorm of design, THE RIDE has become the singularly most requested entertainment ticket at Travel Agents’ offices all over the country.
The Travel, Attraction and Broadway critics have all delivered raves, as have THE RIDE’S audiences and celebrities.
Consistently breaking its own Box Office Records, THE RIDE has opened a second Box Office at 1200 Sixth Avenue at 47th Street (in addition to the current Box Office at 234 West 42nd Street) in order to accommodate demand for the Seasonal THEMED RIDES and the on-going critically acclaimed DAILY RIDES that have become such a lucrative addition to the Manhattan Midtown landscape.
So many patrons are coming from so many countries from all over the world – the two Box Office Staffs have dubbed the phenomenon “The Globalization of The Ride.”
THE RIDE is a brainstorm of design that has resulted in a fleet of multi-million dollar motor coaches whose interiors are a state-of-the-art wonderland of electronic wizardry that guide 49 dazzled RIDERS around the most fascinating city in the world.
Launched on October 15, 2010, THE RIDE’S original genius was its realization that the streets of Manhattan are a fifty-mile stage exhibiting the most riveting visuals on earth. Adding its own actors to the crowded mix on the streets, the huge motor coaches deliver a show worthy of their trove of awards, international acclaim and sold-out performances.
Written and directed by CEO/CCO, Richard Humphrey, and enjoying its glorious Sixth Season, THE RIDE has become the most talked about innovation in both the entertainment and attraction industries.
Described by Promenade Magazine as “a spectacular immersive and interactive entertainment experience that moves you through Midtown as an ever-changing show featuring actors, performers, singers, dancers and Manhattan citizens unfolds before your eyes as you sit in stadium style seats inside a state-of-the-arts motor coach which features over 3,000 LED lights, 40 video screens, an IMAX Theatre’s worth of audio equipment, cutting-edge speakers and floor-shaker sound system technology,” THE RIDE also boasts two On-Board Hosts brilliantly skilled at delivering the most delicious facts and histories of this Nation’s most famous destination points.
Times Square, the Bank of America Tower, the Chrysler Building, Grand Central Terminal, The New York Public Library, historic Bryant Park, Radio City Music Hall, 50 Rockefeller Plaza, Sixth Avenue’s Skyscraper Alley, Carnegie Hall, the Hearst Tower’s Atrium, Central Park, 42nd Street and Columbus Circle are all rousingly introduced to THE RIDERS by the most exciting Cast of Performers in New York. A Cast of Performers that seemingly springs from the crowded Manhattan streets that have now become the stage on which the story of New York is played out for THE RIDE’S stunned and delighted RIDERS.
THE AVALANCHE OF AWARDS
Just awarded the 2015 RTO Summit’s COOLEST NEW PRODUCT Award and its FIFTH TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Award, THE RIDE has also been inducted into THE TripAdvisor® HALL of FAME; an accolade reserved for less than 1% of the worldwide Travel-Related Corporations reviewed by TripAdvisor’s® 60 million members and 140 million visitors. Also honored with a nomination for Broadway’s coveted Drama Desk Award in the prestigious Unique Theatrical Experience Category and named the Third Most Successful Youth-Primed Attraction in New York City by FODOR’S Travel, THE RIDE has most recently been nominated for THE CONCIERGE CHOICE Award in the BEST TOURIST ATTRACTION category. THE $50 TRILLION DOLLAR BACKDROP
In 1626, in a single landmark real estate deal, Dutch New World settlers bought the island of Manhattan in exchange for iron kettles, axes, knives and cloth. In the ensuing 389 years, $50 trillion ($50,000,000,000,000,000,000) dollars has been spent on the development of New York. In 2011, THE RIDE’S CEO/CCO, Richard Humphrey, in a single landmark Attraction Industry deal with Prévost, the leading North American manufacturer of premium motor coaches, created THE RIDE by taking the modern day miracle that is New York City and transformed it into THE RIDE’S mind-blowing backdrop. A $50 trillion backdrop that totally immerses THE RIDE’S stadium-style-sideways-sitting passengers in the exhilarating, breathtaking, overpowering experience that is New York.
