Oh hello there! It’s THE RIDE with some good news about Memorial Day weekend.
Now I admit that “good news” and “Memorial Day” don’t often belong in the same sentence together. After all, Memorial Day was set aside to honor those in the Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom and way of life, and that’s a very serious and somber thought.
So if you will be spending your long weekend in New York City, I urge you to mark the occasion by seeing all the great things in the city that represent American freedom at its finest. Visit theStatue of Liberty, that beacon of hope for hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Stop by theEmpire State Building, that amazing skyscraper which was built in only 410 days using only manpower and horsepower, making it a true symbol of U.S. ingenuity and hard work. Go toTimes Square, now famous for impressive displays of neon, but originally renowned as a place that welcomed free speech. But no matter where you are in NYC, keep your eyes open for men and women in the military forces (many of whom are in town as part of the annual Fleet Week festivities) and be sure to thank them for their service.
THE RIDE is honored to offer everyone with a military ID a sightseeing tour on either THE RIDE or THE TOUR at half price. It is but a small token of gratitude for their service. And if you’re not in the armed forces? You can still save money with $20 off THE RIDE and $10 off THE TOUR. The chance to reflect on our freedom and to save money, too? That’s truly good news!
