Yo, it’s THE RIDE here and today, I’m thinking about Hamilton. Like Alexander Hamilton, I “got a lot farther/by workin’ a lot harder/by bein’ a lot smarter/by bein’ a self-starter” and like Lin-Manuel Miranda, I love a good rap. So it’s hardly a surprise that when it was time to choose performances for THE RIDE’s critically-acclaimed NYC interactive entertainment experience, I made sure to include wordsmiths who really know how to spit rhyme schemes to a driving beat.
Want proof? Check out this freestyle rap, part of last fall’s Masquerade. Or take a look at this performance, in which the rapper manages to include everything he sees on the streets of New York into his flow. And here’s one more show you’re sure to enjoy, since it’s got a great beat and plenty of creative word play. In fact, THE RIDE’s rapper is becoming so well-regarded, he was even invited to perform live on the Anderson Cooper show!
Of course the best way to see this talented master of the “poetry of the street” is to take THE RIDE. When you do, you’ll be amazed to see that every rap performance is unique—an improvised reaction to who’s on the bus and what’s on the city sidewalks at that particular day and time.
If you’ve been lucky enough to score tickets to Hamilton (or any other Broadway show), you’ll find that THE RIDE’s box office is conveniently located nearby. Or buy your tickets online. Either way, “just you wait”—THE RIDE will be an experience you won’t soon forget!
