In November of 2015, the National American Journeys Group (NAJ) held their Receptive Tour Operator (RTO) Summit in Orlando where THE RIDE made waves in the world of travel and tourism.
At the event, the NAJ Group presented its “Coolest New Products” award, which recognized five new, exciting products of the year, one of which was your favorite New York City tour, THE RIDE. While “Coolest” is inherently subjective in nature, the judges at the event described “coolness” as something that is both fashionable and impressive at the same time. While this definition is still vague, the idea of coolness remains a concept difficult to define, yet easily identifiable when we see it. For this reason, it’s quite an honor for THE RIDE to be one of only five products selected to receive the “Coolest New Product” award.
While we appreciate the praise THE RIDE received, we also had the pleasure of sharing this honor with four other amazing products. Make it a point this year to check out these other awesome (and cool), new products.
- Louisville CVB – The Urban Bourbon Experience: If you visit Louisville, you’ll discover the people that inhabit Kentucky’s largest city take their bourbon seriously. This experience encourages patrons to head down to a local bar and partake in the wonders of classic, American bourbon whiskey. With a half-dozen bourbon distilleries available within walking distance of each other in downtown Louisville, this bourbon tour is a great way to earn your Bourbon County Citizenship.
- North River Lobster Company: If you’ve decided to visit New York City and are feeling hungry after your city tour on THE RIDE, why not head down to the North River Lobster company, the only floating lobster shack in the city. With your choice of seafood favorites and incredible views of the Midtown skyline, this floating restaurant experience isn’t one you’ll soon forget.
- Wild Walk at the Wild Center in the Adirondacks: For those looking for a more outdoorsy adventure, the Wild Walk is one of the most breathtaking experiences in the country. The Wild Walk sits near Lake Placid, New York, and is a 1,250-foot treetop network of bridges and platforms that give visitors access to fantastic views of the surrounding areas and the over 900 live animals that call the Adirondack Mountains their home.
- SPEEDVEGAS: If you decide to make the journey out west to Sin City this spring, you’ll definitely want to check out SPEEDVEGAS, an exotic car driving experience unlike anything you’ve seen before. SPEEDVEGAS gives you the opportunity to get behind the wheel of exotic cars that you may have only ever dreamed of driving and push them to the limit on a Formula One-inspired race track.
While an experience at SPEEDVEGAS gives you the opportunity to speed around a state-of-the-art race track at breakneck speeds, if you happen to find yourself in the suburban jungle of New York City instead of the desert oasis of Las Vegas, check out THE RIDE. Although THE RIDE may not have you attacking hairpin turns at lightning-fast speeds, you’ll definitely want the opportunity to soak in all that the Big Apple has to offer. No matter if it’s your first time in New York City or you’re an experienced insomniac of the City That Never Sleeps, THE RIDE is the best way to experience everything New York City has to offer.
