OCTOBER IS THE MONTH OF ENCHANTMENT IN NEW YORK CITY
THE MAGIC STARTS ON THE RIDE – In Masquerade
October 12 – November 1, 2015
Approaching its 9,500 performance and awaiting its 400,000 RIDER, the spectacular, immersive, interactive, Award-Winning phenomenon, THE RIDE, will be in bewitching masquerade for this Halloween Season from October 12 through November 1.
Written and directed by Richard Humphrey, CEO/CCO, THE RIDE’s award winning script will take a twisted seasonal turn as performers hide behind their masks to celebrate all that we love about October in the City.
Chilling stories, beguiling videos, a transcendent MEDIUM channels ethereal visits with New York’s denizens of the past, a sprinkling of pumpkin orange and plenty of “BOO!”
Starting on Monday, October 12, the award-winning cast of THE RIDE will don especially designed lace and jeweled masques of medieval court life to enchant and captivate their audiences on the million dollar motor coaches and billion dollar Manhattan streets.
What began as an elaborate and choreographed night of seduction in the gold-drenched royal courts of 15th Century Europe and steadily moved to the torch-lit public costumed balls of the 16th Century will now be introduced to the 21st Century’s center of the Universe, the streets of Mid-Town Manhattan.
THE RIDE – In Masquerade will continue to spellbind for the entire Halloween Season through Monday, November 8.
For centuries, the Masque Balls of Europe were considered a special luxury of entertainment. Their enchantment was irresistible as is the unique experience of THE RIDE.
It is the greatest show on wheels.
THE AVALANCHE OF AWARDS
THE RIDE is about to have a history-making 3rd Season In Masquerade and a 4th Iconic Holiday Season.
For six years in New York, the Broadway Tourist Phenomenon has been breaking it’s own Box Office Records weekly and is poised to do even better for the next sixteen weeks of sold-out shows and accolades aplenty.
About to sell a ticket to it’s 400,000th RIDER, the multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art, electronically-interactive FLEET of motor coaches has recently been awarded its FIFTH TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Award which was immediately followed by its induction into THE TripAdvisor® HALL OF FAME; an accolade reserved for less than 1% of the worldwide Travel-Related Corporations reviewed by 60 million members and 140 million visitors.
THE RIDE has also been honored with a nomination for the 58th Annual DRAMA DESK Award in the prestigious Unique Theatrical Experience Category and a 2015 CONCIERGE CHOICE Award in the Best Tourist Attraction category.
Named the Third Most Successful Youth-Primed Attraction in New York City by FODOR’S Travel, THE RIDE was also just recently declared one of the Top 8 One-of-a-Kind Must-Attend Wild and Wonderful Spectacles in New York City by NewYork.com.
NewYork.com also named THE RIDE’S Gold Star Tour Guide, RORY LIPEDE as the Most Entertaining Tour Guide in New York.
A brainstorm of design, THE RIDE has become the singularly most requested ticket at Travel Agents’ offices all over the country.
The Broadway critics have delivered raves, as have audiences and celebrities.
As Tokyo, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, London, Hong Kong, and Dubai are currently being considered and scouted; ticket sales in New York are up 87% since August 11, 2011 when now CEO/CCO, RICHARD HUMPHREY, was brought in as the S.W.A.T. Team to resuscitate an entrepreneurial idea that was promising but struggling.
Catching up to THE RIDE’S prosperity is THE TOUR.
Introduced by THE RIDE on March 23, 2015, THE TOUR is a 90-minute touring event which is becoming “the thing to do” for as many New Yorkers as their guests from out of town.
ABOUT THE RIDE
THE RIDE is a brainstorm of design that has resulted in a fleet of multi-million dollar motor coaches whose interiors are a state-of-the-art wonderland of electronic wizardry that guide 49 dazzled RIDERS around the most fascinating city in the world. THE RIDE’S original genius was its realization that the streets of Manhattan are a fifty-mile stage exhibiting the most riveting visuals on earth. Adding its own actors to the crowded mix on the street, the huge motor coaches deliver a show worthy of its trove of awards and acclaim. This brainstorm has resulted international acclaim, sold-out performances and the most talked about innovation in both the entertainment and attraction industries.
